Why Tunari?
Updated: October 2026
Tunari is the commune just north of Bucharest, right next to Pipera and Otopeni, 15 minutes from the airport. In recent years it has become the place where families who work in the north of the capital buy a house with a garden without giving up the city.

Schools and kindergartens
The international schools are 8–15 minutes away: Mark Twain, Verita (Amber Forest), the American International School of Bucharest, the British School of Bucharest and Cambridge School. Tunari has private kindergartens and a state school, and a nursery and kindergarten is opening soon on Strada Berzei.
Shopping
One minute from home: the La doi pași grocery store, Farmacia Belvivo, Venetto Pizza and the CAF coffee shop. Further away: Mega Image 5 minutes, Lidl and Penny 8, Cosmopolis Plaza 8, Băneasa Shopping City 20.
Getting around
Pipera 8 minutes, the A0 ring-road entrance at Dimieni 6 (coming soon), Henri Coandă Airport 15. The Otopeni metro station is under construction. A family car is a must.
Leisure
Therme București 17 minutes, Edenland Park 15, Băneasa Forest 12 and the lakes to the north.

What life is like here
